Pterygium surgery with autoograft

When extensive, they can result in corneal astigmatism or occlusion of the visual axis. Here, a visually-significant pterygium is removed and a conjunctival autograftis placed in the area of resection to reduce the risk of recurrence. The surgery is sutureless, using fibrin adhesive to secure the conjunctiva.
